Hi Kerri, I call myself an infomaniac, please notice how I spelt that, I know it rhymes with something else.

Here's a tip. Give yourself a pre-defined period of time for your research and reading. At the end of that block, ask yourself if you have everything you need to make a decision. If yes, stop researching/reading. If no, give yourself another pre-determined block of time. This will end the endless research/reading cycle. Often, we know way more than we need to, but think we need to know more. Hope this helps.

Thanks for stopping by, have a great day.

Bravo!

I believe far too many people, especially entrepreneurs, equate success with money. Yes, we all need to buy groceries and keep the lights on at home. But the number of dollars in your bank account does not have a whole lot to do with being truly successful. I could write a dissertation on this subject, but I promise I won't do it here on you blog.

I'll agree with Chris. A lot of people are more frightened of success than failure. Like many of the other aspects of our lives, that fear most likely stems from the standards and values we grew up with and our parent's teachings and principles.

I'll use myself as an example. I was taught you go to school, make good grades, further your education beyond high school graduation, and then expect to be totally happy and fulfilled in a 9-5 rat race. And you're supposed to stick it out -- no matter what! "Quitting" was unacceptable ... and so was "complaining". Following your passion was unheard of.

No wonder so many people are fearful of success!!

This is my problem Kathy - information overload, trying to find time to read it all and then not following up! If only I had another 3 hours in the day just for reading I would be set!

Michelle's presentation was wonderful, Kathy, and it left me with the feeling that it's OKAY if some days don't go exactly as planned.

And I was happy to hear her mention the "Fly Lady" -- I love her!! I discovered the Fly Lady when I visited Michelle's resource page for work-at-home moms.

There's no denying it -- we can't possibly manage time. We can only manage ourselves. :)

You know how it goes in the world of online marketing and social networking, Kathy -- we get invitations (by the dozen!) to attend telesummits and other kinds of events. I bet not a day goes by that you don't find an invitation in your inbox. Me, too.

However, after listening to the replay of your interview with Owen Williams last night, I can honestly say "What Successful People Know" is not your typical, cookie-cutter event. You're a fabulous interviewer and his presentation ROCKED! I can predict with 100% accuracy that the remainder of your guests are going to be outstanding!

Thanks for putting together such a wonderful lineup of experts.

I completely agree that the only way to overcome fear is to feel the fear and do it anyway. Don't wait until the feeling goes away (it probably won't). Don't let it stop you. Just do the thing in spite of the feeling. Sitting frozen in the fear eats away at you. What's interesting is that, usually, when you step out and do the thing, it ends up being way less difficult than you thought (and sometimes it's even amazing)!
